From Calling to Curriculum- A Future Worth Living
While these events may not have happened yet I am saying yes to God according to Habakkuk 2:2 and “writing the vision out and make it plain...”

They say obedience opens doors that hustle never could. Today, as I sip coffee in the cosy lounge slash office space of our garage- aka my creative sanctuary- I’m still in awe of the view. Not just the one from the wide windows that overlook our modest backyard and the morning sunlight bouncing off our six-bedroom home. No, I mean the panoramic view of what God has done through vision, obedience, and a whole lot of grace.
It all started with a prayer and pen. And now, I’m writing again- only this time, it’s the best-selling book that accompanies the Gratitude Becomes You Curriculum- a life-changing program that’s transforming the way women of color navigate identity and imposter syndrome. The same program that once lived in a humble Google Doc is now being studied by educators across the globe, with whispers of it become an Excel course at several universities. I know it’s real because I have the email receipts… and the tears I cried while reading them.
I passed my ACC level credential through the International Coaching Federation last year. That moment was a driving confirmation. Not just of my skills as a coach, but of the deeper call to serve. Now, as I work on my PCC certification, I don’t feel like I’m grinding. I feel like I’m being carried- by purpose, passion, and a Divine hand that keeps saying, “Keep going, daughter, I’m not finished yet.”
Coach to Teacher: The Alliance That Changed Everything
When I enrolled in the Coach to Teacher program through the Body Brain Alliance, I knew I needed structure, but I didn’t realize I’d walk away with a solidified mission. That program helped me translate years of pain, perseverance, and prayer into digestible, evidence-based curriculum- one that integrates biblical principles and habit psychology into a system of healing and empowerment.
This curriculum isn’t just about overcoming imposter syndrome. It’s about remembering who you were before the world told you who to be. It’s about rebuilding trust with yourself, rewriting generational narratives, and holding both your faith and your fire in. the same hand.
Women across cultures are telling me, “I see myself differently now.” They’re even coaching their families differently. They’re opening businesses, starting ministries, and finally walking in the authority that was always theirs. That’s not because of me- it’s because I was willing to say yes to God.
From Quiet Dreams to Bold Realities
The life Dominic and I have built feels lie a whispered dream that God shouted “YES!”over.
We make well over $200,000 a year- not from luck, but from aligned business ventures rooted in service, impact, and obedience. We live simply, even in abundance. Our six-bedroom home isn’t flashy- it’s functional. It hold community, creativity, and rest. Our garage apartment? That’s where the real magic happens. It’s where I coach, teach, write, pray, and occasionally take Sunday naps after church.
We travel- not to escape, but to serve. Volunteering through our church has taken us to places where gratitude isn’t just a concept, it’s a currency. Every time we land back home, I walk our Bernese Mountain Dog, Teddi, and marvel that this life is actually mine.
I walk, I breathe, I laugh because I weight 115 pounds, not because of shape, pressure or obsession but because it feels good. My clothes fit, and more importantly, so does my joy. I stopped shrinking my body years ago and started expanding my purpose, funny how life works that way.
The Book That was in Me All Along
I used to thinking writing a best-selling book was about having a platform, followers, and strategic launches. I am now realizing it’s about obedience and clarity. This book is writing itself because I’ve lived every page. It’s not theory- it’s testimony, wrapped in strategy and revelation.
The book is designed to supplement the GBY Curriculum, offering real-life stories, guided reflections, habit trackers, and biblical wisdom for study prompts. It’s my offering to the woman who needs a roadmap she can have to help carry her through. She needs someone to whisper, “Me too, sis. Here’s the way through.”
As I write, I’m reminded daily that this was never about me. God just needed someone willing to be a vessel and I am honored to pour out what He keeps filling me up with.
Gratitude: My Daily GPS
If I had to sum up how all this came to be, I’d say two words: gratitude and grace.
Every morning, before I open my laptop or lace up my walking shoes, I take five minutes to thank God. I thank Him for my health, I thank Him for my family, I thank Him for my clients, I thank Him for my curriculum, I thank Him for my community, and I thank Him for the consistent clarity He has given me. I thank Him for the days I didn’t quit. I thank Him for Dominic, our covenant, and our mission. I thank Him for the simplicity of this season- even in its success.
Gratitude doesn’t ignore the hard parts; it just gives them context. When I was crying in our tiny apartment years ago, unsure of where my next coaching client would come from, he knew this day was coming. When I doubted my voice, He reminded me it wasn’t mine to silence.
Looking Forward Without Fear
What’s next? I honestly don’t know all the details- and I’ve made peace with that.
I know this though: The GBY Curriculum will continue to grow. I’ll earn my PCC credentials and walk more boldly into leadership and mentorship. The book will reach the women it’s meant to reach. I’ll keep traveling, serving, writing, resting, and giving back.
Teddi will keep begging for treats and acting like he’s not 100 pounds. I’ll keep pulling on my pants one leg at a time, smiling in the mirror- not because my body is “perfect”, but because my soul is finally home.
God is not finished yet. And neither am I.
My Final Thoughts
To anyone reading this and feeling the tension of the “not yet,” let me just say this- keep going. The life you’re praying for might be whispering your name. Make space for it. Do the work. Take the rest. Trust through process. God’s timeline is sacred, even when it’s silent.
I am living proof that obedience opens doors that hustle never could.
As for you? You’re just one yes away from walking into your future too.
Stay well.
With love,
Nia
